CA-3-M012550001 2026-07-14T06:32:38 CIDA is contributing to WHO’s efforts to achieve universal access to HIV prevention, treatment and care, including a particular emphasis on the prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV (PMTCT). Fifteen million dollars of this grant has been allocated specifically to support country level basic PMTCT programs. This grant supplements CIDA’s previous support to WHO’s efforts to scale-up access to HIV prevention, treatment and care, as well as the achievement of Millennium Development Goal 6, to combat HIV/AIDS. PMTCT activities are being incorporated into existing national plans and strategies with Ministries of Health as the main implementing partner.
