The GAVI Alliance uses the funds, along with funding from other donors to achieve its mandate to save children’s lives and protect people’s health by increasing access to immunization in poor countries. GAVI pursues its mission through four strategic goals: accelerating the uptake of new and underused vaccines; contribute to strengthening the capacity of integrated health systems to deliver immunization; increase the predictability of global financing and improve the sustainability of national financing for immunization; and shape vaccine markets.
