CA-3-M013538001 2026-07-14T06:32:38 This grant provides support for two projects of the International Organization of La Francophonie: (1) Centres for Reading and Cultural Expression (CLAC); and (2) the Francophone Initiative for Distance Teacher Training (IFADEM). CLACs are places where local people can learn, read, watch movies, participate in vocational training workshops and communicate in a secure environment. The support from CIDA enables the beneficiaries of the CLACs to access a greater number of books and modern computer and digital equipment. IFADEM is a teacher training project that combines distance education and training in the presence of tutors. This initiative aims to improve the quality of basic education in target countries and contribute to international efforts to help states and governments ensure access for all children to a full cycle of primary education, without gender disparity. CIDA's support enables the OIF to ensure the deployment of this initiative in the countries concerned.
