The project aims to support more than 16,000,000 young people (particularly young women and youth with disabilities) with skills, enabling them to secure jobs, take on entrepreneurial opportunities, and undertake volunteer and advocacy efforts for climate action.?The project brings together youth-led organizations, civil society organizations, foundations, technology platforms, governments, and private sector partners, to support young people to develop and deliver on climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies through gender-responsive approaches. Project activities include: (1) strengthening the transferable skills of 10,000,000 youth on climate resilience and adaptation in their communities through volunteerism, skills development, workshops, and developing disaster risk reduction plans; (2) supporting 2,000,000 students to build climate resilience in their communities; (3) training 700,000 young people to develop green entrepreneurial mindsets and problem-solving skills in designing social enterprises. They aim to address the most pressing environmental challenges in their communities; (4) providing 400,000 young eco-entrepreneurs with access to opportunities for green skilling, advocacy, community engagement and pitching their green business ideas through a digital marketplace; and (5) strengthening the green skills of 3,000,000 young people through SMS technology.
