CA-3-P014660001 2026-07-14T06:32:38 This project aims to increase the effectiveness of peace, reconciliation, and dialogue processes in Ethiopia and Sub-Saharan Africa by providing adaptive and flexible support in the Somalia regional. This is done through the support of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), Tigrayan civil society, and peace actors in Sub-Saharan Africa. Project activities include: (1) supporting Somali regional Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) to conduct 4 public hearings and to demonstrate responsiveness to gender specific or conflict related sexual violence raised by the victims; (2) providing emergency victims support to at least 240 victims and survivors (of which over 40% are women and girls); (3) facilitating peace collaboration meetings with Tigrayan civil society through semi-structured or informal interviews and focus group discussions; (4) conducting a gender-sensitive conflict analysis and identify potential entry points to advance peace processes; and (5) providing flexible funding to the partner's activities and sub-partners in Sub-Saharan contexts, with contexts to be determined in consultation with Global Affairs Canada.
