Description

This project aims to help improve development policies and programs by supporting three World Development Reports. The World Development Report is the World Bank's annual flagship publication. Each year, the report focuses on a different aspect of development. These reports inform and shape global debates on development policy. This project supports the World Development Reports by: (1) supporting in-depth case studies; (2) gathering empirical evidence from country cases, (3) compiling cross-country empirical findings; (4) conducting new research; and (5) undertaking consultations around the world.

Expected results

The expected intermediate outcomes for this project include: (1) increased in-depth and unbiased assessments of key development issues; and (2) more effective policy recommendations to address the issues and contribute to poverty reduction.
