Description and results

Description

This project aims to support the promotion of human rights in Honduras, by way of increasing the access to justice of vulnerable populations, especially those of women. This will be accomplished by training and accompanying lawyers and civil society organizations to actively participate in legal and democratic processes that help reduce impunity and improve the rule of law in Honduras. It also supports the judiciary to improve the efficiency of human rights proceedings through training and technical support by specialized group lawyers.

Expected results

The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) Increased use of judicial channels for the emergence of jurisprudence contributing to the effective protection of the rights of women, girls and other vulnerable groups and the reduction of corruption and impunity; (2) Increased involvement of civil society, particularly organizations working to defend and protect the rights of women, girls and other vulnerable groups, for the improvement of the justice system and democratic processes, through increased dialogue with the State and international bodies.
