Description and results
Description
This grant supports Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Country Focal Points and SUN Lead Group members from developing countries, who are unable to cover their travel costs, to attend the SUN High Level Event in New York. The event takes place on the margins of the 67th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on 27 September 2012. The overall objective of the SUN High Level Event is to bring leaders and stakeholders together to discuss the second year of progress of the SUN Movement and to demonstrate and be accountable for results in reducing undernutrition. SUN country focal points are also supported to attend two additional meetings to exchange ideas, discuss progress and share lessons learned. The objective is to improve the effectiveness of the SUN movement, including through guidance on the development of cross sectoral nutrition strategies and identifying for support networks what country obstacles are to scaling up nutrition.
