Results achieved at the end of the project (July 2024) include: (1) successfully implemented and strengthened 28 local and national laws, policies and strategies related to sexual reproductive health and rights, exceeding the target of 22; (2) averted 358,525 unintended pregnancies in Bolivia, Ecuador, Guyana and Peru, exceeding the target of 208,404; (3) provided 3,015,514 people (2,690,396 women) access to sexual and reproductive health services, including modern methods of contraception, exceeding the project target of 290,009; (4) reached 225,711 people (121,637 women, 102,048 men, 70 trans women, 40 trans men, and 1,916 unknown) with comprehensive sexuality education, exceeding the target of 68,812 people; (5) increased the capacity of 4 local implementing partners (1 in each county of Bolivia, Ecuador, Guyana and Peru) to demonstrate a gender transformative perspective in their programs, services and materials, exceeding the overall project target of 4; (6) increased the capacity of 2 local implementing partners, Guyana Responsible Parenthood Association and Instituto Peruano de Paternidad Responsable Peru to meet the criteria for providing a full range of youth-friendly sexual reproductive health services; and (7) submitted 23 shadow and alternative reports. This includes 4 by Centro de Investigación, Educación y Servicios (CIES) in Bolivia, 3 by Centro Ecuatoriano para la Promoción y Acción de la Mujer Guayaquil (CEPAM-G) in Ecuador, and 16 by Centro de Promoción y Defensa de los Derechos Sexuales y Reproductivos (PROMSEX ). This increased the use of human rights-based and feminist approaches to sexual and reproductive health and rights advocacy across civil society movements, surpassing the target of 7 reports.
