Description 

This project aims to support participation by resource-challenged countries in the nuclear security capacity-building event “Resolute Sentry” organized by the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism (GICNT). Project activities include providing travel support to national experts and stakeholders from GICNT member countries that would otherwise be unable to participate due to resource limitations.

Expected results 

The expected outcome of this project is increased knowledge by stakeholder agencies of Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism member countries of international best practices to prevent, detect and respond to acts of nuclear terrorism.

Results achieved 

Results achieved as of the end of the project (March 2019) is the participation of one subject matter expert from Mexico in the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism tabletop exercise “Resolute Sentry,” hosted by Canada and the United Kingdom in January 2019.
