Description 

The project aims to increase equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines by enhancing vaccine delivery and uptake among high-priority groups and integrating COVID-19 vaccination into routine health services. It also seeks to strengthen health systems and improve gender-sensitive water, sanitation and hygiene systems in 11 countries. Project activities include: (1) supporting immunization planning, monitoring and data systems; (2) providing waste management, cold chain and logistics support for vaccination; and (3) supporting quality essential gender-responsive Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) and infection prevention and control.

Expected results 

The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) increased equitable distribution and delivery of COVID-19 vaccines and strengthened gender-sensitive routine immunization in 11 countries; and (2) strengthened health systems to engage vulnerable and priority populations with gender-equitable COVID-19 vaccination and prevention outreach in 11 countries.
