Description 

This project supports a Canadian expert’s attendance at the Mitigation of Biological Threats Programme Coordination Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand. Project activity includes supporting one Canadian expert to review, assess and identify a strategy for future biological threat reduction projects in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations region.

Expected results 

The expected outcomes of this project include enhanced national and regional capacities of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations member states to prevent, detect and respond to infectious disease outbreaks of security concern.

Results achieved 

Result achieved as of March 2023 includes the establishment of an overall strategic direction of the 3rd phase of the Canada Association of Southeast Asian Nations Mitigation of Biological Threats Programme.
