Description 

This project aims implement the Accelerator Fund by enhancing the bankability of projects in Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly in nature-based solutions and climate change adaptation. Project activities include: (1) funding feasibility and technical studies on new technologies; (2) developing climate action plans with private sector companies; (3) identifying trends that they can use to replicate and scale successful initiatives; (4) increasing awareness and developing action plans for gender equality and diversity; (5) supporting financial institutions in implementing recommendations from the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures and the Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures; and (6) documenting case studies and sharing lessons learned with interested stakeholders.

Expected results 

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) developed climate change projects with diversity, equity, and inclusion measures; (2) built the capacity for climate and inclusive practices; and (3) enhanced awareness and knowledge of climate change and equitable market opportunities.
