This monitoring and evaluation initiative is a component of the Canadian budget support for the education sector in Senegal. This funding is allocated to monitor and evaluate budget support for the education sector in Senegal, for administrative purposes, and for contingencies. For administrative reasons, funds identified for these purposes are sometimes included in the main project budget, and sometimes (as in this case) assigned to a different project number. It is important to note that this initiative is continually monitored and evaluated with other donors to Senegal. All monitoring and evaluation activities together enable us to measure the performance of our support for the education sector in Senegal, and the achievement of expected results.
