Description 

The project funds the Technical Assistance, Capacity Building, Monitoring and Evaluation Component of CIDA’s Asset Protection for Food Security Project (A032711-001). Funding is provided primarily for consultancies and studies in support of the Productive Safety Net Program, a large national food security initiative in Ethiopia designed to reduce vulnerability to chronic food insecurity by using a more development-oriented approach addressing the root causes of food insecurity. The project is managed by CIDA. All CIDA disbursements for this project have been completed.

End of project results as of May 2010 include: technical assistance provided through local contracting of expertise in the areas of financial management, communications, public works and environment, procurement, donor coordination, and information technology.
