Description 

The Local Fund Management Centre administers and coordinates all of CIDA's local funds in Haiti. The Centre supports projects developed by local community organizations and helps respond to crisis situations such as the January 2010 earthquake. It also supports the capacity development, networking, and knowledge sharing among local Haitian organizations.

Results achieved 

Results achieved as of the end of the project (March 2012) include: The Local Fund Management Centre ensured sound management of the six local funds that were realigned in the aftermath of the January 2010 earthquake. The Centre issued requests for proposals, received and assessed the proposals submitted by civil society organizations and state institutions, analyzed and selected 92 sub-projects, prepared project documents and contribution agreements, and monitored the implementation of the sub-projects.
