Description 

This project aims to improve the quality, predictability and accountability of child protection responses in humanitarian situations by contributing to the 2015-2016 Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action’s work plan. Project activities include: 1) training and dissemination activities; 2) technical assistance to humanitarian agencies; and 3) monitoring and evaluation of child protection programming. This project directly benefits child protection coordinators and other humanitarian staff by improving their skills and service standards. Ultimately, this project provides an indirect benefit to children receiving protection-related assistance from humanitarian organizations.

Expected results 

The expected intermediate outcomes for this project include: 1) improved quality of child protection in humanitarian settings; 2) strengthened capacity of the Child Protection in Emergencies sector; and 3) strengthened assessment and measurement in the Child Protection in Emergencies sector.
