Project profile — Support to the Global Humanitarian Assistance Programme – Phase III

This project aims to improve informed decision-making and humanitarian response's efficiency, effectiveness and coherence by increasing access to reliable, transparent and comprehensive data on humanitarian financing. Project activities include: (1) publishing the annual Global Humanitarian Assistance Report and country profiles; and (2) providing briefings on topical humanitarian issues, including funding modalities in fragile and protracted humanitarian settings and non-traditional humanitarian donors. Beneficiaries for this project include a range of humanitarian stakeholders, including crisis-affected people.

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) ensured stakeholders, at all stages of the financing transaction chain and those who hold them to account, have objective and reliable evidence and analysis on humanitarian needs and resources; and (2) ensured a robust evidence-base informs Crisis-response decisions on international humanitarian financing.
