This technical assistance project aims to strengthen the capacities of the Malian government to ensure the delivery of services and care in sexual and reproductive health for women and girls. Technical assistance is a tool for achieving results, strengthening state structures in the health sector and the promotion of rights for women and girls, in addition to contributing to fiduciary risk management. Project activities include: (1) supporting the relevant Ministries in the strategic planning and elaboration of policies, norms and procedures related to sexual and reproductive health; (2) organizing regional and national training on the delivery of health care; and (3) implementing a pilot project based on the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to inform young girls and boys of the sexual and reproductive health and family planning services available. Direct beneficiaries of this technical assistance project are the employees of the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene and the Ministry for the Promotion of Women, Children and the Family in Mali and ultimately the women and girls of Mali who will benefit from improved sexual and reproductive health care.
