Description 

Tanzania hosts the largest refugee population in Africa: there are currently some 193,000 Burundians, 149,000 Congolese and 2,600 refugees of other origins living in camps and requiring food assistance. The goal of this Protracted Relief and Recovery Operation, carried out by the World Food Programme (WFP), is to improve the food security situation of the refugees, host communities and vulnerable groups, and assist with refugee repatriation. The operation is expected to assist 290,000 direct beneficiaries.
