Description 

With CIDA support, Doctors without Borders (MSF) is helping to address the immediate medical needs of drought and conflict-affected populations in Wardher Zone, Somali Regional State in south-eastern Ethiopia. Through its support to the hospital in Wardher town, four district health centres, and eight mobile clinics, MSF is ensuring that the population of Wardher zone have access to quality health care, including basic primary health care, emergency services, treatment for acute malnutrition, immunisations, reproductive health services, and the treatment and management of transmittable diseases.

Expected results 

Expected Results Include: an estimated 320,000 people in Wardher Zone have improved access to quality medical services, thereby reducing the incidence of preventable morbidity and mortality in the target area. The expected intermediate outcome is reduced vulnerability of crisis-affected people, especially women and children.
