Description 

With CIDA support, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) is mobilizing and coordinating humanitarian response to the food and nutrition crisis in the Sahel, in partnership with national and international organizations in the region. In addition to coordinating humanitarian activities, OCHA manages and monitors the humanitarian appeal process, supports inter-agency collaboration and the cluster (sectoral) approach, and facilitates resource mobilization in support of relief efforts in the region.

Expected results 

Expected outputs for this project include: strengthened, coordinated, and effective humanitarian response to the food and nutrition crisis in the Sahel. The expected intermediate outcome is reduced vulnerability of crisis-affected people, especially women and children.
