Project profile — Technical Support for the Development of the Jordan’s National Education Strategic Plan

This project supports the development of Jordan’s National Education Strategic Plan (ESP). Through technical assistance provided to the Government of Jordan, Canada's contribution supports the Ministry of Education in developing a robust plan to clearly articulate Jordan’s education commitments into one coherent, achievable and measurable five-year plan. This technical support complements Canada’s direct budget support to the education sector in Jordan. This project is implemented by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in collaboration with the International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP).

The expected outcome for this project includes: improved prioritisation of strategies and activities in the education sector in Jordan.

Result achieved as of the end of the project (December 2018): the development of the Education Strategic Plan, a five-year plan which clearly articulates the priorities of the education sector in Jordan between 2018 and 2022.
