The Foundation’s mandate includes: (1) supporting civic voices to share their stories; (2) learning and acting together; and (3) influencing the institutions that shape people’s lives. The current Strategic Plan (2017 to 2021) orients the work of the Foundation around four programs of action: (1) participatory governance and gender; (2) Commonwealth writers; (3) Grants; and (4) Knowledge, learning and communications.
