Description

This project aims to restore the human dignity of repatriated migrants and members of their communities by addressing their protection needs, including risks related to human trafficking, sexual exploitation and sexual abuse. It aims to empower migrant women to exercise their rights and ensure equal socio-economic opportunities between men and women along the Haiti-Dominican Republic border and in the migrants’ places of origin.

Expected results

The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) increased provision of gender responsive protection assistance to address the primary needs of vulnerable repatriated women and children in Haiti; (2) improved access to protective services and informed decision-making by vulnerable repatriated women and children in Haiti; (3) improved access to economic opportunities and strengthened livelihoods for vulnerable repatriated Haitian women and children subject to protection risks.
