Expected results

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) updated national registries of radioactive sources; (2) reviewed regulations on radiation safety and nuclear security; (3) established national policies and strategies for DSRS; (4) established temporary safe and secure storage of DSRS; (5) training provided for regulatory staff and facility operators: and (6) radioactive sources managed in line with identified options, including the removal of 35 DSRS from Chile.
