Description 

This project aims to strengthen the national capacity of Laos to prevent, detect and respond to the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCOV) outbreak through the acquisition and delivery of personal protective equipment, reagents, consumables.

Expected results 

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) Increased interventions by the Ministry of Health, health professionals, and the Institut Pasteur du Laos in the prevention, detection, and response to potential incidents of COVID-19.

Results achieved 

Results achieved as of July 2020 include: (1) Enabled the Institut Pasteur du Laos to acquire reagents, consumables, personal protective equipment as well as a -80°C freezer for sample storage in order to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
