Description 

This project aims to support Haitian micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in their economic recovery efforts, notably by implementing initiatives that support economic security, poverty reduction and women’s power and agency in Haiti. Project activities include: (1) developing and implementing a professional development program for women in the finance sector; (2) defining and implementing a development plan for two promising sectors; (3) setting up an accelerator program for proponents supporting entrepreneurs, girls and boys; (4) providing a more differentiated offering of financial products and services; (5) providing tailored training on entrepreneurship, relevant financial programs/funding and how entrepreneur coaching services work; (6) improving the delivery of financial services to women micro-entrepreneurs; (7) implementing a personal development program for women entrepreneurs; and (8) developing a business model for coaching services offered to MSMEs.

Expected results 

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) improved public and private financial institutions in Haiti to effectively deliver financial services tailored to various needs of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises; and (2) improved investments in innovations that foster performance, competitiveness and resilience in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, especially those headed by women and young people.
