Description 

This project supports the acquisition, installation, and certification of laboratory components for 20 mobile diagnostic laboratories to support South Africa’s response to COVID-19 and other infectious disease outbreaks of security concern. This portion of the project represents the contracting fees paid to the Canadian Commercial Corporation for implementing the contract.

Expected results 

The expected outcome of this project is an improved response by South Africa’s National Health Laboratory Service to infectious disease outbreaks.

Results achieved 

Results achieved as of February 2022 include the full delivery and installation of all laboratory components for 20 mobile diagnostic laboratories.
