Description

This project aims to provide continued access to essential family planning services and quality information on reproductive health, mindful of coronavirus (COVID-19), for men, women and girls of reproductive age in eight regions of Burkina Faso. The project aims to cover broader family planning activities and make it easier to mobilize other resources to ensure family planning interventions are sustainable. To achieve this, the project seeks to ensure that women, men and youth have continued access to quality information on reproductive health, family planning and COVID 19 to break down the social barriers that prevent women and girls from exercising their reproductive rights. Project activities include: (1) identifying and supporting private health facilities for the provision of family planning and gender-based violence; (2) providing personal protection kits, products for hand hygiene and treatment of instruments for safety of staff and women; and (3) conducting health promotion activities on reproductive health, family planning and gender-based violence in the context of the coronavirus.
