This projects seeks to improve the safety of men and women in response to drug-related crime in the Americas with a focus on Caribbean countries. Project activities include: (1) Technical guidance provided to the National Drug Agencies of beneficiary countries on how to conduct a gap and institutional response analysis to inform the development of the National Drug Strategy (NDS) and National Plan of Action (NPA), incorporating a gender perspective; (2) Training delivered to drug policymakers in the National Drug Agencies on how to draft the NDS and NPA, incorporating a gender perspective; and (3) A “Guide for Policymakers, Practitioners and Stakeholders on How to Develop a National Drug Policy” is published and disseminated to drug policymakers in the National Drug Agencies in beneficiary countries. This project benefits National Drug Agencies, the law enforcement community, and more broadly men and women from the following countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Barbados, Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Jamaica, Panama, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Uruguay
