Description 

This project contributes to the deployment of Canadian personnel to support the work of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine and Support Programme for Ukraine and the European Union's Mission in Armenia. This project supports the deployment of Canadian experts on the ground to play specific roles in these missions. Project activities include: (1) managing deployee recruitment and screening process; (2) providing gender-sensitive pre-deployment training; and (3) providing duty-of-care administration and support throughout the deployment period.

Expected results 

The expected outcome of this project includes: enhanced performance of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and the European Union to monitor, establish facts and report on the security situation in Ukraine and the region, promote democratic and security reforms, and mediation efforts. This includes ceasefire violations, abuses of human rights and gender violence.
