Description 

This project provides critically required demining equipment and related personal protective equipment to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) as part of Canada's support to Ukraine in the face of Russia's unprovoked and illegal invasion. Project activities include supplying twenty-three Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) blast suits for use by SESU’s demining and EOD teams.

Expected results 

The expected outcome of this project includes an increased capacity of SESU personnel to safely clear landmines and other unexploded ordnance from Ukrainian territory, enabling this land to be returned to productive use.

Results achieved 

Results achieved as of the end of the project (May 2023) include: (1) access to twenty-three Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) blast suits by personnel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine’s demining and EOD teams.
