Description 

This project aims to strengthen the capacities of the global law enforcement community to address a wide range of biological threats. Project activities include: (1) conducting country needs assessments; and (2) the delivery of training and capacity-building activities to INTERPOL member states.

Expected results 

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased awareness by INTERPOL of the capabilities, needs and gaps in biothreat and biological incident response in target countries, including gaps in gender equality; (2) strengthened global awareness of the current biological threat landscape; (3) increased information sharing amongst INTERPOL member states related to biological threats; and (4) increased performance of law enforcement agencies to anticipate, detect and respond to biological threats and incidents.
