Description 

This project aims to strengthen the Haitian National Police’s (HNP) community policing capacity and to work with community-based organizations to build community resilience to the impacts of gangs. It supports the refurbishing and rebuilding of HNP commissariats in communities affected by gang violence.

Expected results 

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased engagement by targeted communities in crime and violence prevention initiatives, including those related to gang-related sexual-based violence and violence against women and girls; (2) strengthened organizational and operational capacities of the Haitian National Police, with a particular focus on community policing and sexual and gender-based violence (GBV); and (3) enhanced youth engagement and resilience against GBV.
