Description 

This project aims to empower Afghan girls with the knowledge and skills to pursue post-secondary education, enter the workforce, and become community leaders. Project activities include: (1) building the capacity of educators in managing and leading online education programming for Afghan girls; and (2) supporting Afghan girls to access online secondary school learning. The project benefits Afghan girls in Pakistan, Turkey and the region who do not have reliable access to education.

Expected results 

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) improved capacity of educators to deliver online education services to Afghan girls; and (2) increased use of quality online secondary education and resources by Afghan girls.

Results achieved 

Results achieved as of March 2025 include: (1) provided over 50 hours of professional development to 30 online educators and supported 5 other learning entities to adopt new systems and processes that improve online education for Afghan girls; and (2) provided 689 Afghan students (90% girls) with quality online secondary education and learning resources.
