Description

This project aims to improve the health and lives of women, adolescents, and girls by supporting peer reviewed and evidence-based research on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Project activities include: (1) strengthening the capacity of local research partners to generate quality evidence on sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, specifically in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, and Rwanda; (2) generating objective and peer-reviewed evidence on the social and economic impacts of providing access to SRH services; and (3) generating objective and peer-reviewed evidence in Sub-Saharan African countries responding to women's rights to comprehensive SRHR.

Expected results

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) improved SRHR advocacy to government and other policy stakeholders by women’s rights organisations in Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Bangladesh; and (2) strengthened protection of women and girls’ reproductive rights to sexual and reproductive health services by national governments, regional and global agencies, and other key stakeholders.
