Project profile — Support to the capacity building of the Haitian National Police

This project supports the abilities of the Haitian National Police (HNP) to participate in internationally-led training through the provision of logistical services and support to understand the usage of training acquired. Project activities include: (1) organizing HNP course participant travel, as well as the procurement and shipping of training materials; (2) facilitating the preparation and processing of travel documentation; (3) providing on-the-ground logistical support as required; and (4) reviewing and analyzing the effect of internationally-led training to support efforts to shape future training.

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased access to specialized training by women and men HNP officers; and (2) increased understanding by the HNP of the capacity-building and training needs they require for an effective and human security focussed police force.
