Description 

Through this project, the United Nations Office for Project Services supports the Haitian National Police (HNP) to equipping and improving infrastructure at their National Police School and Academy (ENP and ANP) to build their ranks and expertise to effectively counter gang violence and regain control of the country. Project activities include: (1) procuring and distributing essential goods and equipment to enhance training quality, operational effectiveness, and security; and (2) acquiring and oversee rehabilitation processes of infrastructure, which could include electrical system improvements to ensure that training installations adhere to modern safety, security, health, and accommodation standards.

Expected results 

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased operational capacities of the ENP and ANP to deliver law enforcement training; and (2) improved learning environment for women and men that is conducive to the development of skilled and professional police officers. The overall expected result of this project is to improve the conditions of the ENP and ANP that in turn support the HNP’s ability to train and professionalize its force.
