Description 

This project aims to provide enhanced care, resilience, and protection to women and girls at risk of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in the West Bank and Gaza. This includes survivors with disabilities, internally displaced persons, host communities, young people and the elderly. Project activities include: (1) supporting the operationalization of safe spaces and shelters for the protection of women and girls from SGBV; (2) supporting women-led organizations and women’s rights organizations; (3) enhancing West Bank hospitals' and primary health centres' response to SGBV; and (4) supporting psychosocial first aid to SGBV survivors and women at risk, as well as their family members, and facilitating their access to available services.

Expected results 

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) enhanced care, resilience and protection measures among survivors and women and girls at risk of SGBV; (2) enhanced capacity of women-led and women’s rights organizations to prevent and respond to SGBV in emergencies situations; and (3) increased capacity of SGBV service providers to provide services to survivors and women and girls at risk.
