Results achieved

Results as of January 2012 include: (1) 90% of members of the Health Round Table of La Convencion in Peru and 89% of participants in the Women Youth Child Commission of the same round table increased their skills and capacities in health intervention. (2) 2,054 women in Mali have improved their knowledge of the Moringa (small tree) and developed skills to integrate the Moringa into their daily diet as a nutritious supplement in a strategy to fight against malnutrition. (3) Coffee cooperatives in Mombin-Crochu and Bois-de-Laurence in Haiti produced 9,200 coffee plants and 18,500 forest and fruit plantlets, which will be distributed between the cooperatives members. These results have contributed to: (1) increased health intervention capacities of institutions, local groups and actors, mostly women; (2) the implementation of preventive and educational health measures; (3) the use of new skills and to improved production and environmental management.
