Description 

This program aims to improve health services and to ensure their sustainability. Program activities support Collaboration santé international’s local partners involved in development projects, by providing them with medical supplies and equipment, furniture and medicine, as well as training for the use of the medical equipment.

Results achieved 

Results achieved as of the end of the project (December 2014) include: 111 containers were delivered to the eight beneficiary countries. These deliveries contributed to provide better access to primary health care, particularly for women and children, through the distribution of medical equipment, supplies and medicine. The project also contributed to: (1) the installation of functional operating rooms; (2) strengthening medical personnel’s capacities; (3) access to health services in ophthalmology, gynaecology and dentistry; (4) important increase in childbirth assisted by skilled personnel; and (5) paediatric care made available thanks to the distribution of medical equipment to health dispensaries and hospitals in these countries.
