Description

Production of a special issue of Canada’s History magazine and of Kayak magazine to be entitled Canadians and the Global Community, which presents Canadians' involvement in international development throughout history. Although each magazine has its own specific feature stories and content highlights, both magazines include a broad mix of feature length stories, short articles, games and interactive activities to help students and their teachers explore topics of Canada’s international interdependence, cooperation and development in a fresh, playful and engaging way. The special issue aims to help young readers to better understand Canadians’ responsibilities as global citizens, and provide inspirational examples of individual engagement in international development issues. The target audience for this project is young Canadians ages 7 to 18.
