Results achieved

Results achieved as of March 31, 2013 include creation and support of six regional enterprise development centres, staffed with fully trained local professionals. These centres are currently operating and delivering a package of demand-driven and high quality non-financial services including training in management. The total number of clients served by all regional enterprise development centres during 2012-2013 was 1455 of which 41.3 % of total clients served were female. The total number of jobs created because of the enterprise development services was 1066 (312 females, 754 males). The project also conducted several capacity building activities to enable these regional enterprise development centres to design and deliver responsive business development services to clients. Capacity development opportunities were equally offered to male and female staff at all levels including regional enterprise development centre staff, partner NGOs, board of director members, and bank staff.
