Description 

The purpose of the Jordan Program Support Facility (JPSF) is to increase the overall quality and effectiveness of development programming in Jordan supported through Canada’s Official Development Assistance (ODA).

Expected results 

Although initiatives such as these serve as important mechanisms to support the effective delivery of Canada’s development assistance, no direct development outcomes are attributable to them.

Results achieved 

Results achieved as of March 31, 2019 include: (1) the gender and environment advisors recruited by GAC continued to provide excellent technical advisory services to GAC programs in Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria; and (2) Through coordination and collaboration amongst Canada and other trusted partners like World Bank, UNDP, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), and the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), Canada achieved successful and tangible outputs on the ground.
