Description and results
Description
The project aims to strengthen the ability of civil society to strategically plan and implement projects aimed at increasing the substantive participation of women and gender inclusion in the peace process at the sub-national level in Myanmar. It supports emerging organizations to help them influence the peace process as well as provide technical support to organizations so they are well-equipped to take advantage of opportunities and be at the forefront of advocating inclusive coherent strategies be used to implement the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement.
Expected results
The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) increased meaningful and sustained engagement of civil society and women’s organisations around Gender, Peace and Security (GPS) through actions inside the formal peace process, and those designed to influence it from outside; and (2) improved capacity of civil society and women’s organisations to engage in and towards the peace process on GPS issues.
